Chuck Amato is the executive assistant head coach and linebackers coach for Florida State University. Previously a part of the Florida State in various positions with the defensive team, Coach Chuck Amato returned to Florida State to coach the Seminoles in the 2007 season.

Before his time in Florida, Chuck Amato held positions at North Carolina State University and the University of Arizona. Coach Amato has been a part of 11 Atlantic Coach Championships, one as a player, two as an assistant coach for North Carolina State and 8 consecutive championship games at Florida State. Chuck Amato has coach several players who have gone onto the NFL or ended their college careers with high honors. One of the most notable former player of Coach Amato is Phillip Rivers, who was the starting quarterback at North Carolina State from 2000 to 2003, during his time Chuck Amato gained a record of 34-17 and helped Phillip and the other NCS players get to the Gator Bowl where the Wolfpack defeated Notre Dame.
