More Info
Bobby Bowden enters the 2008 season with 36 previous years of coaching experience with the Florida Seminoles under his belt. Coach Bowden is the winningest coach in college football history, and the 2008 season will see him edge even further beyond his competitors in this ranking.
Bobby Bowden's son, Tommy, is also a Division I coach for the Clemson Tigers football team. The two come together annually to play each other in what has been termed the Bowden Bowl. Bobby Bowden leads the overal Bowl score 5-4, but he has lost the past 4 years and momentum is in Tommy's favor.
In 2004, the Florida Seminoles named the field at Doak Campbell Stadium after Coach Bowden. Additionally, a bronze statue of the coach and a 3 story stained glass window was dedicated to Bobby Bowden and his great coaching achievements over the years.
